Ahhh, the birds are nesting again and the wetlands are crazy with activity as all the migrants fly by and the residents are building their nests. One of my very favorite songs is the red-winged blackbird's, a metallic 'cone-cone chweeeee'. Here's one male staking out territory on a cattail stalk.
